BasiX 316 Stainless Barrier Mesh
BasiX Safety Screen offers an attractive and cost-effective entry point into the woven stainless mesh screen range. These safety doors and window screens are made from a strong 0.7mm 316 Marine Grade stainless steel safety mesh infill.
BasiX provides a great value option to deter intruders while keeping out even the tiniest creatures; including most sand flies. BasiX has a similar appearance to CommandeX's range of woven stainless mesh security screens (SecureView and SaltWaterSeries); but it is manufactured with a slightly thinner mesh and is classified as a safety screen.
BasiX can be used in a range of applications including:
- Safety Doors: for long-lasting pet-resistant mesh and insect protection
- Safety Window Screens: for long-lasting pet-resistant mesh and insect protection
- Fallsafe Screens or fall prevention screens: designed for high windows to ensure that the screen can withstand 25 kg of pressure in three different points. This ensures no one can fall out of the window when it is left wide open
- Patio Enclosures: to create a durable insect-free outdoor space

For screens over 1050mm x 2100mm; we recommend fitting a midrail to ensure the mesh remains tight.
